As photographers, we strive to be artists, but clearly, our equipment plays a vital role in our work. It's always been my philosophy that if money were no object, you'd be pretty safe running down to your local camera store and picking up the best of everything they sell. Most of us don't operate without some budgetary constraints, though, and it's pretty helpful to be able to spend our limited funds wisely. My reviews tend to focus on equipment that I feel is a pretty good bang for the buck for up and coming photographers, since this has been exactly the sort of information I needed early on.
