It’s springtime in Ohio, and I had a chance to stop by the Franklin Park Conservatory last week to shoot some of the spring blooms. I got some nice shots of flowers in full bloom, but I thought this one was sort of interesting because this one lone bud was obviously late to the party. It’s a nice contrast against all the fully-open blooms in the background.
After shooting a couple shots at f/1.8 and seeing some of the same goofy bokeh I saw in an earlier shoot, I’d backed of to f/2.8, which ended up being a little more pleasant.
There are more shots from this set in the gallery.
